PRODS
An umbrella for community-engaged initiatives that connect engineering education with public questions, culture, mobility and collective work.

Engineering also grows through encounters with people, places and forms of knowledge outside the laboratory. These initiatives connect students and partners around culture, sustainable mobility and collective action.
Connected initiatives
PRODS brings together projects in which students learn by working with artists, cyclists, community groups and public spaces. The result is a broader engineering education, grounded in dialogue, shared responsibility and practical action.

InstagramResearch and engagement
Bag Sentável responds to a problem reported by platform workers: long waiting periods with nowhere to sit. The project develops a topology-optimized internal frame that can support a seated person while protecting the cargo space. It is co-advised by Josué Labaki and Amasa Carvalho, combining structural design with research on work, wellbeing and equity.
