The meeting
Connecting research and the people who make it.
With PRODS and Unicamp’s Núcleo de Estudos Afro-Brasileiros (NEAB), we brought researchers together during Black Consciousness Week to share their scientific work and the paths that made it possible.
The programme connected engineering and the exact sciences with the humanities, arts, biology and health. Indigenous researchers and students took part alongside colleagues working across these fields.
We contributed to the opening, the engineering session and the discussion of funding opportunities. The meeting combined research presentations with a practical question: how can institutions create better conditions for Black, Brown and Indigenous researchers to develop their work?

A roundtable brought together the Antônio Bispo Chair, CAIAPI, Unicamp’s research office and FAPESP to discuss opportunities for PPI researchers.
